Are you an experienced Cyber security engineer with a passion for automation and complex challenges? Then we are looking for you to join our growing Cyber Engineering team!

ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. The Cyber Defense Center (CDC) within ASML (Veldhoven office) through real time detection & response minimizes the damage caused by threat actors bypassing ASML preventative security controls and protecting ASML information. To enhance our Cyber resilience, the Cyber engineering team continuously develops and onboards new detection and response capabilities on a global scale. Our team works closely together with other security functions and other ASML teams utilizing our shared in depth knowledge in this effort to secure the business for all our stakeholders.

Role and responsibilities

You contribute to the implementation and integration of other security tools and platforms in order to enhance more automation capabilities across our processes. Your responsibilities include:

- Maintaining operational effectiveness and efficiency of the security technologies;
- Develop custom code to integrate various tools and platforms;
- Contribute to the design/build, test, implementation, and maintenance of integration with other security tools and platforms;
- Work closely with (senior) engineers, other team members and application owners to identify required data for building / creating pre-defined use cases;
- Collaborate with other IT operations, Threat Intelligence, and Incident Response teams to build automated processes and orchestrations for security applications;
- Documentation and reporting along with presentation, teamwork and wide collaboration are among the expected duties and mission of the task order.

Education and experience

The required level of education for this position is a Bachelor or Master’s degree in cyber security, Computer science or equivalent combination of education and work experience

- 3 – 5 years of experience working in an agile Cyber Engineering team within an enterprise environment;
- Experience in security solutions and agile design principles/practices, DevOps methodologies/tools, and SDLC
- Experience with engineering/development support
- Experience implementing and developing use cases for automation within enterprise environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and/or the cloud-based tools that support them(e.g. Azure, Kubernetes)
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Terraform or related tools
- Experience with Object oriented development, and at least one scripting/ programming e.g. Python, C, Java, PowerShell
- Hands-on experience working in cloud environment (Azure, Google-cloud, AWS)
- Hand-on experience planning, designing, creating, debugging automation playbooks with SOAR platforms (Phantom, Swimlane etc.)

- Proficient in English (business language).

The following certifications are a pre: GCIA, GPYC, CEPP
