Research department is looking for a motivated Project Leader to work on the next generation wafer table and clamping modules for our systems.
Role and responsibilities
You are part of the research organization looking into technical challenges and opportunities for the future of ASML. You will be working with a highly multi-disciplinary team executing world-class research to push the boundaries on nano tribology, surface chemistry, material science, and functional coating development.
You lead and give direction to the multi-disciplinary project team towards the feasibility and fundamental understanding which are aligned with internal customers and stakeholders. You are a strong leader and able together with your team to define and achieve the right goals.
Next to project management skills you are able to lead and provide input in technical discussion with your team and internal and external stakeholders and customers. The typical teams consists of project leader, architect, experimentalist, analysts and designers from both internal and external parties.
Together with the project leader and the rest of the team you identify and monitor the major (technical) feasibility risks and determine and execute the strategy to mitigated these.
Education and experience
Education
(Technical) University Master or PhD in Physics, Mechanics, Mechatronics, Chemistry or similar.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience as Project Leader, for a project of at least 10 people.
Broad experience in research or development and engineering in the high tech industry.
(Project) Leadership in low technology readiness level projects.
Project Management Certification or Education, preferably.

Research department at ASML looks at the next generation requirements for our machines and tackles some of the most difficult future bottlenecks in scanner performance. In order to face the next challenge in wafer table and wafer clamp performance, fundamental questions in tribology need to be answered and translated to practical solutions for the next generation wafer table and clamps. As the project leader you will be facilitating the multi-disciplinary team that will make these revolutionary steps through both fundamental research as well as wafer table/clamp coating development.
This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with applicants who are immediately eligible to access U.S. controlled technology.
