Research Departmentis looking for aProject leader/Technical Leader who will take the responsible over the technical scope of a research project is typically with feasibility studies/ fundamental understanding build up for critical module issues or low TRL level product or module development. A Research Project leader works closely together with a Research Architect who guides the team in the right technical direction. This Research project is in close cooperation with Development and Engineering, supplier(s), universities and research institutes.

Role and responsibilities

You lead and give direction to the multi-disciplinary project team towards the feasibility and fundamental understanding which are aligned with internal customers and stakeholders. You are a strong leader and able together with your team to define and achieve the right goals.

Next to project management skills you are able to lead and provide input in technical discussion with your team and internal and external stakeholders and customers. The typical teams consists of project leader, architect, experimentalist, analysts and designers from both internal and external parties.

Together with the project leader and the rest of theteam you identify and monitor the major (technical) feasibility risks and determine and execute the strategy to mitigated these.

Education and experience

Education
MSc. Or PhD degree in Physics, Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics or (Surface) Chemistry

Experience

  • Proven track record on technical leadership in a multi-disciplinary high-tech environment.
  • More than 7 years of relevant experience in a high tech environment.
  • Experience with developing modules/products from first idea to a working product at customers. Experience in low TRL level feasibility projects is preferred.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, building relationships with our internal customers and suppliers.
  • Team-player that can use different leadership styles.
  • Self-assured, capable of convincing people, also at higher management levels.
  • Good analytical skills to cope with complex products, machine modules or issues.

Other information

This position ispart of the Research department of ASML. Its task is to identify and fill the technological gaps and extend roadmaps of the lithography and metrology market. We work in small teams and deliver a proof of concept or fundamental understanding that can be transferred to Development and Engineering. We intensively work together with external research institutes and universities.
