Role and responsibilities

This job is expected to conduct global supply network design projects/initiativesin our service logistics footprint. You create a clear and transparent overview of our network capabilities and are able to optimize goods flows through the service network looking at a.o. cost efficiency and warehouse capabilities, as well as to our predicted growth. You understand what parameters drive and influence the optimal infra structure setup. Next to that the role supports the business case creation for new/changing/relocate DC’s.

This role evaluates network scenarios on behalf of internal stakeholders and advises towards optimal integral solutions. Next to that it acts as the ASML LSO focal point towards the strategy department that considers footprint in the broadest sense and it’s initiatives. You are recognized based on expertise and reliability.
You are competent to map logistic processes in a global network model, make real material movements processes visible in logistic network tooling and identify opportunities for improvements/optimalisation in performance and costs. You naturally reach out to people, communicate easily and are able to build professional relationships based on equality.

You will report to head of LSO Goods Flow and Excellence.

Key Responsibilities are:

- Lead tactical and strategical discussion with the service logistics leaders (warehousing, freight, customs) and transform their future requirements into supply network design activities.
- Lead supply network design studies/projects and support changes. Develop and evaluate different scenarios, e.g. centralized vs. de-centralized DC set up, single vs. multi-tier distribution, returns management considerations. Prepare results for senior management decision making.
- Evaluate and consult in network design change requests and support potential change implementation
- Tune with stakeholders on cross-functional alignment and ensure collaboration on supply network design studies to ensure quality of recommendations and success of implementation
- Apply standardized tools and templates to increase efficiency of supply network design studies
- Pro-actively monitor warehousing and transportation related developments, and new service offerings to our customers, understand global logistics trends, innovations and identify best practices. Transfer this knowledge into discussions with the logistics teams and strategic network design.
- Develop/apply/use tools to perform regular supply network design analyses
- Pro-actively engage with your peers and other internal stakeholders to understand potential impacts, constraints and costs of the service logistics network
- Determine and conduct key analyses required to support strategy/tactical formulation.

Education and experience


Bachelor or Master in business engineering, industrial engineering, operational management, quality or logistics. Work experience can supplement specific education levels.


- > 8 years’ experience in project management, conceptual network design and goods flow analysis within an operational,logistics, or engineering environment, preferably in a high-tech, low-volume production environment.
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement based on lean principles and effective change management.
- Knowledge and experience of process design, process management, network design, data management, documentation and standardization .
- Extended knowledge of and experience with Logistic network design tools

The role is positioned in the LSO (Logistics Service Operations) Goods Flow Excellence department within ASML Sourcing and Supply Chain.It provides professional services to ensure a structured, controlled and transparent flow of goods through our logistic network. It is responsible for standardizing and optimizing goods flows in between our logistics nodes.Next to that data analysis on key elements and continuous improvement to increase efficiency are also important tasks.
