The DE (Development & Engineering) P&I (Performance & Integration) System Integration department is responsible for the integration, verification and release of system configurations such that these can be manufactured and installed within the required quality and can also be maintained in the field. We supportBusiness Line, Manufacturing and Customer service to achieve customer satisfaction.
In the position of System Availability Engineer you will be part of the team that is responsible for overall system reliability and diagnostic performance of a product or product family (this position will be within the EXE domain). In this role you will analyze the system behavior w.r.t. reliability and diagnostic performance. On one hand during the execution of pre-defined reliability test cases, but also during standard testing on our proto systems. Try to find improvement area’s by analyzing the system behavior. What are the errors still left in the system and how fast can we find the actual root cause? Both aspects contribute to the total uptime of the system.
The System Availability Engineer takes the lead in analyzing the system performance and creates a list with the issues, including their impact left in the system. Next to the systems reliability issues also focus and bring forward improvement area’s on the time spent to find the root cause once an issue occurs.

Role and responsibilities

- Analyze the overall system reliability performance during normal integration work including the analysis on the time spent to find the root cause once an issue has occurred
- Take lead in the definition of the problem statement and be a sparring partner during the analysis and solution phase of the found system issues by the D&E projects.
- Report and advise toward the Availability and Diagnostic Project but also to the System Integration team on which issues to have fixed first in order to improve the system uptime the fastest.

Education and experience

- Technical education on MSc. Level in direction of Physics, Optics , Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge on system level of ASML machines
- Hands-on experience in working on ASML machines
