Role and responsibilities

Job Mission

Do you want to be challenged to get the availability and usage of the test systems as high as possible? Within the team you should be able to maintain the HW, troubleshoot issues on the machine and write SW to ensure the developers of ASML can use the systems as efficient as possible.

Job Description

It is expected that you can think and work in terms of:
- Understand the way our customers use the test systems and support these users
- Create and maintain scripts for efficient install and use of test systems
- Build up test systems
- Ensure the safety at the test systems

Education and experience

Educational Level
- Bachelor or Master Level – Technical
- Preferred educated in Computer Science or Electronics

- Part of support organization
- Linux experience
- Python knowledge
- Knowledge of shell scripting
- Agile experience

Personal Skills

- Enthusiastic, flexible and assertive
- High degree of autonomy
- Structured and organized

Context of the Position

Within ASML, the sector Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the development of ASML products. Within this sector the department Embedded Software Common & DUV (ESCD) is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of the software of the complex lithographic machines.

ASML creates high tech machines; software engineers from ESCD are facing several aspects of motion control, production control, data management and interface control. A huge code base is maintained and under strict configuration management to provide maximum commonality between different machine types.
