Founded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML has its R&D and manufacturing operations over the whole world.

The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML’s internal and external activities.

Role and responsibilities

The Security specialist will closely work together with the System architects as the Security Epic Owner on a number of the Security topics and guidelines for IT Product & Technology (P&T) Solution Delivery Hardware ART’s.
The Security Specialist will also support all the Agile teams in the different business lines and different ART’s.

- Manage specific Security topics throughout the IT P&T SW organization on both the content as well as the execution together with the involved DevOps teams;
- Develop and maintain IT P&T HW specific security guidelines and solutions;
- Support teams with the implementation and maintenance the guidelines/solutions within their service(s);
- Work together with agile scrum teams.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership.
- Alignment with stakeholders such as service owners and user representatives.
- Strong partner in discussions with Security Epic owner, Security Architect,Infrastructure architects and DevOps teams;
- Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.

Education and experience

Candidate is well acquainted with software development. Further requirements on candidate:
- HBO+ or Academic level education;
- Minimal 5-10 years of relevant work experience;
- Knowledge of and/or certified in information security (ISO27001), risk management and cyber security (SSCP/CISSP)
- Relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments
- Knowledge of and experience in managing topics (Management Skills) within complex organizations;
- Knowledge of and/or experience in supporting teams within complex Security Topics (Consultancy skills).
- Familiar with software development, CI/CD and networking.
- Familiar with Infrastructure and Application security as well as Information Security
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Strong documenting capabilities

Other information

The Competence Center IT Solution Delivery Hardware is a sub-department within the IT organization; this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML’s development and engineering departments. The Security Specialist will be working for the IT Solution Delivery Hardware ART’s (Agile Release Trains) that are responsible for the Simulation and Hardware engineering environments that are used by developers within ASML Global.

This environment consists of integrated development tools and build, test and release workflows and must be capable to support the lifecycle and configuration management of the ASML product.
Key challenge is on one hand to have a state of the art environment to support the newest product development and on the other hand safeguard the stability and reliability and long term support for the growing installed product base at our customers. The IT Solution Delivery Hardware group has moved toward a Scaled Agile (SAFe) set up with Scrum teams. Seven agile teams in two ART’s support the different business lines. Security has a major focus within the SAFe teams.
