Background information

The sector Sourcing & Supply Chain (S&SC) is an industry-leading department, responsible for ensuring material availability to ASML's factories and customers in an efficient and cost-effective way. Because 90% of all components in an ASML machine come from externally sourced specialist manufacturers, our Sourcing & Supply Chain activities are even more critical to our operation than you would normally expect.

The Project, Program & Portfolio Management department plays a crucial role as the recognized front door for strategy and change for the S&SC sector in ASML. Portfolio Management specifically ensures that S&SC can leverage its project selection and execution success, optimizing business value while achieving the strategic objectives. It is our way to bridge the gap between strategy and implementation.

Your assignment

Sourcing & Supply Chain management wants to further mature its project portfolio management capabilities. The internship assignment should result into an implemented resource management process; which enables:
• Informed decision making concerning the initiation and planning of projects to match resource availability;
• Solid project investment decisions by creating full business case transparency;
• The impact assessment of project proposals for investment and advise the relevant decision-making body on the feasibility and probability of success;
• The creation of monthly and / or quarterly reports for managing the project portfolio as input for project and portfolio board meetings;
• Continuously evaluate potential challenges for running projects within the portfolio in relation to the agreed resource allocations.

Your profile

• You are a bachelor or master student in Business Administration, Information Management or comparable;
• Excellent communication- and advisory skills are required;
• You have extensive Microsoft Office proficiency – specifically Excel.
• You must have good self-discipline and collaboration skills;
• You are fluent in English and preferably Dutch.

This is internship is suitable for a bachelor apprentice or graduation project or a master apprentice internship. You are available for 3-4 days a week with a duration of 4-6 months. The start date is as of February 2022.

Please note that we can only consider students who are enrolled at a school for the entire duration of the internship.
