Role and responsibilities
As Product Owner (PO) you, together with the scrum master, lead a highly-committed, multi-disciplinary, stable-team of ~10 persons. Together with the your team, function architects and the CPO you do the intake and prioritization the programs’ requests for deliverables (EPICs). You balance business context, technical excellence and effort by managing the team backlog You challenge your customers – the PL’s, Epic Owners and Function Owners - to profoundly clarify and motivate their requests in order to be able to adequately deliver according to the mutual expectations.

The EPICs may range from flow and vacuum control related architecture requests to the delivery of functionality by means of hw or sw, or a combination thereof.
During the sprint process you keep the stakeholders informed about the stable-team’s progress on the deliverables and align with them if there are changes on the way. Of course you remain in close contact with them to sync expectations and finally report out at the end of the sprint period… heading for the next sprint!
The team’s activities cover various parts of the development cycle, from architecture definition to final integration. As a PO you pro-actively drive the development work in the team and participate in reviewing concepts and designs on all abovementioned criteria, involving the supplier where necessary.
