The Customer Support organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at customer site and is responsible for the necessary transfer of know-how to the customer. Local site Customer Support branches perform qualification, repair and maintenance for the customers within the specific region.

The Job Mission involves being an essential part of a new site start-up Customer Support team for TSMC as they build their first high tech fab just north of Phoenix, Arizona. Members of this team will leave for assignment in Taiwan in order to learn the technical, operational, and cultural differences of the customer and local ASML organization. Once the assignment is complete, the team will locate in Phoenix, Arizona to provide top-notch service for TSMC as they start up and ramp their production to HVM in the United States.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

The EUV System Lead position is a pivotal role in the daily operations, liaising between the fab team, Tech support, along with the customer on driving the overall dynamic plan for the EUV fleet. This job offers high visibility and puts in close contact with the customer on a daily basis. This role requires a general EUV system knowledge.

Your main responsibilities as a System Lead:

  • Planning schedule repairs, Preventive Maintenance, Software and Hardware upgrades.
  • Maintaining machine Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and planning course-correcting actions.
  • Maintain and update the machines to the agreed baseline configuration.
  • Interface with the customer on the machine health & performance, Unscheduled/Scheduled Downs status and work planningrelated to your machines.
  • Interface with Fab team and Tech support on operations, planning and prep.
  • Work with the ASML team to drive customer priorities on technical issues.
  • In case of Unscheduled downs, work with ASML team to recover the system ASAP and together with the customer, explore the possibilities of pulling in planned work.
  • Integrating the service actions to optimize the Scheduled Down plan.
  • Leading or participating in continuous improvement projects towards getting the operations Lean and cost effective.

The holder of this position reports to the EUV Operations Planning and Prep Manager and provides indirect and direct support to customers and direct escalation and support to support operations. This Job will have an international assignment in Taiwan for about 9 months.

Education and experience

  • BS engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Engineers with at least 3 years of ASML EUV lithography experience preferred.
  • Ability tomotivate, drive, steer and influence without power at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a very dynamic (ever-changing plans from the customer) and high-pace environment.
  • Keep a helicopter view and able to act on available information and provide options to the customer.
  • Ability to think on your feet and make decisions with the best interests of customer and ASML in mind.
  • Clear and effective communication skills required.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency and professionalism.
  • Open for cultural differences and able to work with a site of different cultures and WOW.
  • Must take ownership in driving for solutions and ensures escalations take place.
  • Verbal and written language skills in English.

Job Requirements:

  • Position requires an assignment in Taiwan to learn the technical, operational, and cultural differences of the TSMC customer and local ASML organization. Upon completion, the team will locate in Arizona to support TSMC at their new site.
  • Position requires to work in a 24/7 team working in shifts including days, nights, weekend and holidays.
  • Position requires up to 20% travel.
  • Must be willing to work flexibly to meet the business needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required.
  • Ability to travel in US and internationally.
