The mission of the Security department is to enable ASML to control the protection of information and assets of our company, our customers and suppliers by applying risk-based efficient measures for people, process and technology,
supporting the business goals. Role and responsibilities

As Junior Enterprise Security Architect you will play an integral role in defining and assessing the organization's security strategy, architecture and practices. For this role we are looking for someone that is ready to start their career in the exciting work field of information security. In this role they will be the junior team member supporting the Enterprise Security Architecture team. The Enterprise Security Architecture team focuses on the following activities and functions:

  • Common Language; ensuring security terms & definitions are consistent and known throughout the organisation. This through architecture artefacts such as an information security asset taxonomy, enterprise data model alignment, and risk & control mapping
  • Strategic vision; translating enterprise goals and risks into architecture strategic topics. This by creating reference architecture overviews, and roadmaps towards the desired state
  • Innovation; identifying which innovations in the security industry are of value to the organization. Managing the innovation process and engaging with relevant external parties
  • Design guidance; Liaise with other security architects and security practitioners to share best practices and insights. Collecting information from different initiatives to create oversight and highlight dependencies.

Supporting the Enterprise Security architecture can be in the form of information gathering, planning meetings and following up on open actions, transcribing workshops, and providing support to the Lead Enterprise Security Architect in creating reports, presentations and other architecture documents.

Education and experience

  • Master's degree in computer science, information systems, information management, cybersecurity, criminology, or a related field.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a business or economics field with a strong affinity and ambition for the information security field.
  • No certifications are required; however any of the following certifications are a plus: TOGAF, SCF, CISM, CISSP, SANS GAIC, CISA.

For this role we are looking for candidates looking to start their career in the security architecture field. As such no specific experience is required, yet affinity with the field and the ambition to grow are expected. Moreover, any experience in the cyber security, information security, or physical security field is a plus. The ideal candidate needs to be looking for an opportunity to kickstart their career in a dynamic environment looking to enable business while also Confidential improving security of the organization. This means someone who is a quick learner, able to identify common denominators in complex information sets, bring structure and present it in a way that is clear to everyone. Being able to gather information from a diverse stakeholder audience, analyze the information, and transform it into clear visual presentation is very important in this role. Some of the skills that can help you in this role are:

  • Conceptual knowledge of information security domains,
  • Basic understanding of IT Security infrastructure across all technology layers
  • (Theoretical) experience with Business Process Design / Analysis
  • Basic understanding of public cloud services (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS)
  • Familiarity with the concepts of Risk management & Control frameworks

The position is based in the Netherlands (Veldhoven). The employee will report to the Lead Enterprise Security Architect in the Security Strategy, Risk and Architecture team
