We are continuously developing our Non Product Related (indirect) procurement department and would like to welcome an enthusiastic sourcing professional in the role of Tactical Buyer.

Job Mission:
In this role you unlock the potential of our supplier networks, to deliver solutions that execute ASML’s business strategy and optimize the balance between total cost of ownership, performance and risk to ASML and our customers.

Role and responsibilities

Job Description:
You will further strengthen our Non Product Related (NPR) Procurement department. As part of the Engineering services category team, you manage the sourcing process. Your challenge is to maintain the connection between the strategic goals and day-to-day operations.
In this role. you closely co-operate with various stakeholders in e.g. Development & Engineering and Legal and with our suppliers.


  • Contribute to the execution of the sourcing strategy.
  • Drive supplier selection process (RFP via eSourcing) in alignment with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal alignment & decision meetings.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations, in terms of long term contracting and sustainable commercial deal structures.
  • Manage the supplier relation & performance in terms of quality, logistics, technology, costs & sustainability.
  • Organize an efficient procure-to-pay process.
  • Contribute to the Non Product Related procurement mission and vision.

Education and experience


A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in the direction of Commerce, Supply Chain Management, (International) Business or Finance.



  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a procurement (related) role.
  • Negotiation and contracting.
  • Supplier management in a multidisciplinary context.


  • Work experience in an international high tech environment.
  • eSourcing knowledge and experience.


Good communicator combined with a result driven, can do mentality. Proactive, customer focused and problem solving team player who creates strong commitment with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Context of the position:
ASML is a leading provider of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry, employing over 30.000 people in 16 countries. Its success is based on four pillars: technology leadership combined with customer and supplier intimacy, highly efficient manufacturing processes and entrepreneurial people. As a large-scale system integrator, ASML focuses on extensive outsourcing and integration of its supply chain. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost price is accounted for by purchased goods. Therefore, high level flexibility must be built into the supplier network. The Sourcing & Supply Chain creates, maintains and qualifies this global network and is responsible for all supplier interaction. This challenging Procurement position reflects the dynamics of ASML and high spend responsibility and frequent exposure to Senior Management in D&E.

Other information:
You will be working in the ‘Non Product Related’ Procurement department in a team of 14 Procurement colleagues, reporting to a group lead.
