Are you that person with a passion for supporting a business from a database, process development and management perspective, specifically when such business is ASML’s Intellectual Property (IP) department?

Do you have affinity, preferably knowledge of processes and reporting from databases, making the connection between reporting numbers and translation into the IP business? Do you like explaining your analysis and conclusions and giving advice to our IP management team?

ASML is looking for an energetic analytical specialist to join its international high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting its Corporate Intellectual Property (CIP) department across a broad spectrum of global IP issues and transactions. This fulltime position is based in our Head Quarters in Veldhoven, the Netherlands.

The CIP department is responsible for defining and implementing ASML's worldwide IP strategy and for ensuring that ASML preserves freedom to operate and protects its technological innovations through the application of IP laws, including patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret laws in countries throughout the world. Our approximately 70 person department has offices in Veldhoven in the Netherlands, and Wilton, San Diego and Silicon Valley in the USA.

Role and responsibilities

A typical day might include:

  • Developing and managing an IP database and related processes and workstreams
  • Leading or participating in projects, including IT related ones, to achieve process improvements
  • Supporting in management of IP projects
  • Being the contact person for IT related matters
  • Reporting on IP management information, analyzing gaps and presenting results and giving sound advice
  • Working closely together with attorneys and paralegals to align on numbers
  • Creating reports for internal and external stakeholders

Education and experience

  • At least a bachelor degree (preferably in business administration)
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, e.g. in an IP, IT or reporting/consulting environment
  • Knowledge of or affinity with financial processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with forecasting, planning and coordination activities
  • Experience with project management and execution
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • Experience with Windows10 and MS Office (Excel on expert level)
