Are you capable of providing a clear point of view and vision for a development team? For our Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Agile Release Train, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner. ESM is located within the IT department, more specifically in Core IT Generic & Platform Services. At ESM we improve ASML’s people productivity, through an enterprise wide, one-stop-shop that makes it easy for employees to get fast and high-quality services. We do this with 5 DevOps teams delivering workflows making use of the ServiceNow platform.

As Product Owner you are the “middle man” between the customer and the development / system team you’re part of. It is your role to actively manage your stakeholders and make their demands clear for your development team, and to act as a stakeholder to keep the ServiceNow Platform healthy, secure and up-to-date. You constantly work on keeping the Product Backlog aligned with priorities defined and agreed with stakeholders and you work on keeping the Backlog clear and in line with the goals and mission of the ART. You encourage your team to deliver as much value as possible. You give feedback on timing & quality.

Role and responsibilities

As a Product Owner for our ESM System Team you have two main responsibilities. Your first responsibility is platform related. You actively manage what is happening on the platform. Things like availability, performance, security and technical debt have your full attention. You do this together with the System Administrators in your team. Second, as a PO from our System Team, you support the other teams in our ART with certain competences and capabilities. Your team consists out of specialties that other teams in our ART can use, like UX/UI, CI/CD and Mulesoft/Integration. Some of your important stakeholders are the PO’s from our other teams.

In your role as Product Owner, we expect that you feel End2End accountable for the Agile Team deliverables. You have to clearly express and prioritize Product Backlog items to best achieve our mission and goals. You ensure that the Team backlog is visible, transparent and clear at all times Building and maintaining an active relationship with your stakeholders to maximize value delivered is therefore very important. This includes working with them and others on high quality and complete stories. Also the Leading Coalition, other PO’s and DevOps teams in our ART

Education and experience

You’re Product Owner with at least 2/3 years of experience. You’re Agile and SAFe certified,being a Product Owner has no secrets for you. You’re highly motivated and energetic and can pass your enthusiasm towards stakeholders and your team. Your stakeholder management skills are strong and you are a great result driven communicator. You are outgoing, actively building relationships while building and maintaining a helicopter view. You act like an entrepreneur and take ownership. As ASML is an international organization, we are looking for someone with excellent English communication and presentation skills, both verbal and in written communication. You will work in a global organization and with a distributed team with developers, both being in The Netherlands (Europe) and India. Therefore, experience with serving distributed teams is a pre.,Having a valid work permit for The Netherlands is a must have.
