ASML, a market leader in the semiconductor lithography equipment, is looking to fill the role of Team lead within Software Quality Assurance (SQA) group . The role will require managerial and technical leadership for up to a 10 member group working on the design, develop, integrate, test, document, package and deliver HMI Software (SW).We are looking for someone with a strong technical background to be able to assume the leadership responsibilities while being a hands-on member providing support where needed. This is a very technical group where a complex engineering background and analytic thought are as important as inspiring leadership and people development.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

As a SQA Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 10 consisting of SQA Engineers working on SBI and MBI products. This team is responsible for delivering qualified HMI SW through designing and implementing test strategy, developing regression tests, integrating use cases, testing new features, documenting release changes, packaging SW installation and releasing qualified HMI SW based on planned schedule.

As a team lead, you will partner closely with the Project Leads and Product Owners regarding present and future scope and timing of deliverables. Be accountable for the quality, technical integrity, and planning for on time execution of deliverables. Collaborate on project planning, attend design reviews, and review and approve technical documentation. Meet regularly one on one with your team members and hold regular team meetings to provide release status updates and priorities to ensure SQA activities are aligned with changing priorities and release requirements. Collect feedback, provide input for performance evaluation and promotion decisions, and deliver annual performance evaluations. You will also be challenged to identify and lead continuous improvement projects that improve the way of working, increase collaboration and efficiency, and streamline our ASML processes.

  • Lead team of SQA engineers to deliver qualified SW releases on schedule, focusing on SW quality
  • Manage and coordinate testing activities between different teams at different locations
  • Lead process improvement effortthrough focusing on increasing efficiency and rolling out new processes within SQA and external teams
  • Track and monitor SQA test activities related to creation and execution oftest plans, including functional, system level tests and tooling, integration and regression testing and ensure test activities are aligned with Program’s priority and schedule timeline.Escalate and mitigate risks related delayed or missed milestones
  • Identify areas for automation to improve efficiency, reduce any manual work needed by SQA, reduce TAT and manage automation roadmap associated with key areas
  • Monitor and track technical documentation review and signoff to ensure product requirements and design specs are complete and timely for SQA testing activities
  • Track and monitor software testing and debugging efforts, including tracking and analyzing issues to communicate with other stakeholders and focusing on software quality and its impact to release milestones
  • Release management through SQA resource allocation and test activity scheduling based on release content and schedule
  • Perform software code and release management, support and deliver release documents including Release notes, code compilation, and software packaging for release and patch installations
  • Align with other stakeholders regarding providing SQA’s assistance to support SI/R&D engineers during software troubleshooting

Education and experience

  • Master’s or higher degree in EE, CS, Information Engineering. Applicants need to have strong software knowledge and will utilize that to work on semiconductor products, especially on products of electron beam

Minimum qualifications – the hired candidate must possess all of the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position including:

  • Minimum 7 of Years of relevant experience
  • Applicants should have experience in managing dependencies and schedules with multiple stakeholders
  • Applicants with direct hands on experience with semiconductor tools, in-depth knowledge in semiconductor processing and hands on experience are required for this position. Applicants are required to have background with electron beamand device fabrication experience, and understanding semiconductor flow in the industry.
  • Applicants are required having experience on customer support/service especially using knowledge of software for semiconductor or electronic devices industry. Applicants need to have knowledge in troubleshooting and maintenance in production tools, direct experience work with customer, and being able to address issues and deliver customers’ needs in order to ensure software quality.
  • Applicants need to have experience in dealing with automation and regression infrastructure.
  • Applications need to have good understanding of operating system, software algorithm and data structure, relational database, concurrent computing, client/server architecture, network protocols, and file system management.
  • Applications need to have hands-on working experience in Linux/Windows testing environment, and proficient in one of programming languages.
  • Applications need to havegood numerical analysis and logic thinking skills.
  • Applications need to have good understanding of software lifecycle and quality engineering methodology.
  • Applications need to have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.The position requires collaboration with other departments / teams, people and excellent communication skills are must.

  • Applicants should be familiar with software development and configuration management methodology.
