Role and responsibilities

As a Senior Designer, you are defining, realizing, managing and maintaining various electronics concepts and products for both existing and new ASML products. Furthermore you contribute on defining the next generation of these products in close cooperation with the multi- and/or system-architect.

The Senior Designer isresponsible for the following:

  • Act as theElectronic Development representative in a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Interact intensivelywith colleagues from other groups and departments when required.
  • Define, document andmaintain specifications of the electrical architecture, electrical modulesand electrical infrastructure.
  • Perform trade-offstudies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for new or changedfunctions. Get agreement with stakeholders.
  • Make work breakdownand effort estimation for the various electronics products, adjusted withother stakeholders.
  • Manage theoutsourcing of development activities at co-developers.
  • Solve problemsduring first system integration.
  • Maintain knowledgeand roadmap concerning the electronics within the ASML products. Contributeto the multidisciplinary roadmap.
  • Act as a technicalcoach for designers and other team members.
  • Transfer knowledgeto production- and service-engineers.
  • Contribute toanalysis and solution of reliability issues.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Multiple years of experience as architect and/or designer of electronic functions, including experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications.
  • Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.

Within the sector D&Ethe department Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for thedefinition, realization, qualification and integration of electronicfunctions and modules within these products.
The Senior Designer reportsto the Group Manager Electronics or delegated Team Leader.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work.
