Role and responsibilities

As Data Analyst you are responsible for driving our business through efficient and effective financial reporting and analysis, while making use of different data sources where your goal is to standardize and stimulate data-steered decision making. Your main focus is on providing insight for our business counterparts though in depth data structuring and analytics, making low granularity data relevant for complex decisions and insights.You will also support the team within theASML Finance 2025 mission to move towards having readily available information enabling fact based decision making. You work in an ambitious and international team which focusses on all operational expenditures (OPEX) across the full ASML organization, providing valuable insights to their business counterparts as well as corporate finance.

Team responsibility:
Together with the team you are responsible to:

  • Translating OPEX and FTE (mainly employee benefit data) into actionable information with coaching with analyst within this your businessfocus area.
  • Structure and transform data, automate the reporting using best practices in the market.
  • Provide proactive support and input to Sector/Business Line business controllers.
  • Continuously improve on our reporting landscape, enabling accessible and reliable insights requiring minimal manual input.

Education and experience

Master degree, preferably in the area of Business Analytics/Intelligence or Business Economics. Most important, you understand data and are able to convey the message behind it. Experience with finance is a plus.

You have at least 3 years of experience working as a Data Analyst. Large amounts of data are no problem for you. You know how to apply ‘database thinking’ and have clear business sense. You get excited from making slick reports (we use Spotfire, though experience in i.e. Tableau or PowerBI is sufficient), but also know how to talk to the ‘old world’ using Excel and PowerPoint if needed.


Result oriented, team player, with excellent analytical skills and an interest in data analytics, critical thinking, proactive and communicative personality who can connect with relevant stakeholders in a demanding and highly technology driven organization.

Other information

The job is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights and Control team. The Data Analyst reports to the Financial Data Analytics Manager within the Business Insights and Control department. He/she interacts with various departments in and outside of finance and the team with a focus on OPEX, Employee benefit and FTE data.
