ASML is building a strong position in the field of metrology for the semiconductor market. In ASML’s Research department, new concepts and applications are being invented and designed for future markets of metrology in various fields of semiconductor manufacturing.
Role and responsibilities
The position requires to execute advanced research with application to ASML electron beam metrology products, aimed at future electronic devices in the semiconductor industry. This includes electron-matter interaction modelling, design of (electron beam metrology) experiments and literature studies, with the goal to create novel concepts and solutions.
Responsibilities of a researcher in the “SEM and Process Modelling” group at ASML Research:
• Perform simulations on device structures to predict SEM performance capabilities
• Help set up a design-of-experiments for testing new technology and analyze the data
• Generate new ideas and solutions for current and future ASML metrology products
• Collaborate with SEM specialists in the project team and in other departments of ASML
Education and experience
PhD in Physics with experience in computational modelling / simulations
We are looking for an enthusiastic researcher with the following expertise:
•Experience and affinity with performing and analyzing scientific simulations
•Understanding of physical principles of materials and structures at the nanometer scale
•Working experience in electron-matter interaction, condensed matter physics, ebeam metrology is appreciated
