Introduction to the job

Within ASML the sector Customer Support is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of ASML systems on site at customer locations. One of the departments in this sector is CW CS DUV/YS KR Upgrade & Install & Relocations, responsible for providing project planning and execution support customers and internal customers within the Customer Support organization. The CW CS DUV/YS KR Upgrade & Install & Relocations Field Install Engineer ensures zero-error repeat game-plan, system Upgrade & Installations and Relocations preparations, HW execution, HW recovery and metrology recovery of Twinscan and Yield Star equipment.

Role and responsibilities

  • To execute system Upgrade & Installations and Relocations, provide technical support for other CS activities when possible. You are expected to have a generalist knowledge of machines, which means that you have a broad view over the different machine competencies.
  • To use the zero error repeat game plan (ZRGP) methodology to achieve the agreed upon success criteria of system installations and relocations at the customer site.
  • To provide feedback to improve system move cycle time and performance, embed zero error repeat concept during Upgrade, Installations and Relocations preparations and executions, perform post Installations and Relocations recovery and analysis.
  • Troubleshoot problems and lead escalations related to system Installations and Relocations.
  • Assist onsite competencies and project group on structural issues during Installations and Relocations activities executed by 3rd party suppliers.
  • Maintain personal skill matrix and general CSE knowledge so that each problem can be handled from locally available in-depth product knowledge.
  • This position will require international travel (up to 70%) to the field offices worldwide for Installations and Relocations activities and FF support, and self-development training in the factory or other site.
  • Candidates are expected to support the CW CS DUV/YS KR Upgrade & Install & Relocations department for at least 2-3years upon training completion.

Education and experience

  • Technical University graduate in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or relevant majors.
  • More than 2 years experience in a support department for high tech products.
