As a team lead (scrummaster), you are servant leader enabling the team (~10 Engineers). Youdeliver business value in the solutions we develop and deliver, protectingthe team from external interferences, resolving impediments and empoweringthe team to achieve its ambitions. These activities cover the complete scopeof electronics development, from architecture definition up to and includingdesign, realization, qualification, and integration, for both existing andnew ASML products.

Role and responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborates withthe product owner
  • Ensures timelydelivery of committed items on the backlog of the agile team: responsible forprogress and reporting of progress during execution of the quarterly plans
  • Signals and removesimpediments to ensure timely delivery from the scrum team
  • Leads, builds andfacilitates the team to become high performing: organize retrospectives andinitiate team development activities together with the team
  • Helps the team to betransparent and predictable in what is delivered
  • Creates focus in theteam by shielding them from external interferences
  • Helps the peoplearound the team to understand which interaction with the team is helpful ornot
  • Ensures dependenciesand risks are managed by the team
  • Reporting to GroupLeader, operationally to the Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • Acts as a teamrepresentative towards other D&E competences, but also other sectors (asManufacturing, Customer
  • Support, Marketing) and ensures communication andcollaboration
  • Guides the team toadhere to the technical way of working and secures quality by ensuring thecorrect processes are followed by the team key deliverables
  • Report on theprogress of the team on weekly basis and escalate help requests which cannotbe solved within the team
  • Debottleneck teamimpediment on daily basis
  • Organization andfacilitation of the team rituals (planning, retrospective, demo, standups)
  • Facilitate and helporganizing the quarterly planning event together with the RTE and your peers
  • Drive with the RTEand the other scrum master train process improvement
  • Have dependenciesand risks overviews and ensured they are under control
  • Ensure theadministration of the team work is up to date

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree inElectrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experiencein leading teams of highly skilled engineers in an high-tech industry context
  • Experience in scaledagile framework (SAFe) and in JIRA software is preferred
  • Broad knowledge ofelectronics in all its aspects: architecture, design, and integration

The sector Development &Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design,and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sectorD&E the department Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for thedefinition, realization, qualification, and integration of electronicfunctions and modules within these products.
The team leader reports to the GroupManager Electronics.
