Introduction to the job

The EUV factory is responsible for the production and installation of EUV wafer scanners and sources.
The department EF MF is responsible for the assembly and functional testing of the EUV system. This is done in accordance with strict quality- and cleanliness norms.

Role and responsibilities

Manage delivery of a(n integrated cluster of) module(s) from start preparation up until delivery to the (internal) customer. This also includes after care (meaning staying in contact with the (internal) customer for after care which can be seen as upstream quality with regards to hardware, software and configuration). Module build, integration and qualification is managed as a project (Initiate, Plan, Execute and Close), whereas the Module owner is the project leader responsible for the complete scope of delivery, quality, cost, team (building), configuration management, communication and structural improvements required for better performance of the next module delivered.

- Focus area is System Integration.
- Makes, manages, analyzes and reports on the (long term / multiple shift) progress and planning according to the production planof the workcenter(s) and based on solid understanding of the sequence / product. Timely escalates in case of issues that can’t be solved within the own circle of influence;
- Owns coordination and prioritization of support to other departments / the field;
- Owns module / machine configuration and guards administration (open issues, tests out of spec list, SAP, etc.);
- Communicates and ensures proper transfer of the module / system to the internal customer.
- Analyzes the cycle time and buffer time and makes proposals for improvement;
- Manages structural improvements in close cooperation with the interfaces described in the above. Analyzes current processes and intervenes when structural errors arise. Leads structural improvement projects, VSM’s or Kaizen events. These are cross-departmental and are mainly about cycle time, work content and the quality of delivered products;

Reports to:
Manager EF MF System Integration and Upgrades

Progress vs. plan and quality delivered across production shifts. Closely works together with the Team Leader(s) of the respective module(s) which manages progress vs. plan and quality within the shift. Team leaders do not report to the Module owner hierarchically.

Also manages a cross functional team of assemblers, first-, second and third line support, Production Planning, Material Handling, Program Management, Material Quality and Supply Chain Engineering. This is not a formal team with hierarchical relationships and can be different per module

Education and experience

Bachelor or Master degree (BSc or MSc) in a specific (technical) area.

Experience with production management;
Experience with complex working environments;
Experience with improvement projects;
Experience with Lean manufacturing;
Experience with leading teams without hierarchical power;
Fair knowledge and understanding of ASML’s technically complex products / processes.
