Introduction to the job

ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of semiconductor-chip-making equipment. A majority of the world’s microchips receive their critical lithographic patterning in machines made by ASML. In addition ASML produces metrology tools and advanced applications to analyze and optimize the performance of the customer production process.
At Business Line Applications, we develop the Yieldstar, which is a platform for advanced lithography control. Our goal is to improve the accuracy of performance metrics (such as overlay, focus, critical dimension) as measured on the end product of a fab process (wafers with chip structures).

Role and responsibilities

You will join the In-Device Metrology (IDM) software group, which contributes to development of the YieldStar software platform. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary scrum team and environment where you will interact with your peer software engineers and data scientists. You are expected to familiarize with our current customer solutions and support us in transitioning from existing solutions to a cloud native environment.

From your experience as a software design engineer you help developing prototypes. You act as a fast-learning software professional. You strategically look forward and bring in software engineering practices such as requirements engineering (user story definition), analysis and design, implementation, testing, and integration at the relevant moment, so prototypes are clearly positioned and well set up with respect to productization.

Main responsibilities:

Demonstrate end-to-end ownership for feature/story-based software engineering
Software realization, including design, testing and documentation
Align specifications with stakeholders in the function team and the software platform lead
Secure both software and product quality
Ensure adequate fit of software deliverables in the YieldStar software platform
