Every day you use technology that contains microchips. From smartphones and laptops, to cars and airplanes. Technologies such as AI, process automation and 5G will continue to evolve, requiring ever faster microchips. As the world leader in the production of lithography systems - the scanners used to produce microchips - there has been a huge demand for our machines. That is why we are looking for Scrum Masters to play a key role in further implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0) and leading the agile transformation within our IT groups. We have multiple opportunities for junior, mid-level and senior candidates.

Your Mission

Consists out of three pillars:

  1. Work with teams on continuously improving;
  2. Facilitate teams to get work done;
  3. Coach & mentor teams and individuals.

Your Responsibilities

Being a Scrum Master means being a servant leader and natural facilitator. In your role you carry the responsibilities for training your team(s), facilitating the scrum events and be the stimulating force behind your team. Our teams are highly autonomous and technically skilled. Up to you to help exploiting the individual strengths to the fullest whilst supporting in the continuous development of your individual team members by removing any roadblocks ahead. The collaboration with the other teams is key as we’re all part of the same ART. It is of critical importance to continuously communicate the other scrum masters, Product Owners and the RTE, balancing your team autonomy and ART alignment proves to be a great challenge.

Who are we looking for?

As a Scrum Master you’re a SAFe evangelist, agile has no secrets anymore. You’re driven by a highly complex and ever changing environment. Having experiences in similar IT environments and being a strong communicator, both verbal and written.

To help us tackle the challenges we face, you are in possession of:

  • The right Agile and SAFe certifications;
  • A masters or bachelor’s degree;
  • Preferably a technical background or a strong interest in technology;
  • Minimum of 2 years Scrum Master experience in a relevant work field or companies:
  • Junior: 2 - 4 years’ experience guiding an IT scrum team;
  • Medior: 4 – 7 years’ of experience guiding one or more IT scrum teams;
  • Senior: professionals driving and facilitating agile transformations.

Our Departments

Within the IT department there are different specializations that you could be hired for (please note that there is no job rotation):

IT P&T Solution Delivery: supports multiple development disciplines such as: mechanical, optical, electrical and software engineering. As the group is very close to the product they are also bridging between ASML and our customers with strong collaboration of Customer Support in the field.

Enterprise IT Solution Delivery: wants to unleash the power of the digital enterprise and make a difference for our company in the realization of our business priorities. They deliver application solutions that support ASML wide non-product related business capabilities.

Core IT: providing all, mission-critical, IT support services. This includes generic IT infrastructure services like laptops and desktops, telecom services, network and datacenters.

IT general functions: covers cross-IT capabilities in the following areas:

  • Office of the CIO: Responsible defining and proliferating practices on IT strategic planning; Continuous IT innovation; Portfolio management; IT operational and financial performance; Compliance and risk management;
  • IT Chief data Office:creates and delivers common foundations that enable fast access to high quality data and information that is actively shared and re-used in a controlled manner;
  • IT Enterprise Architecture: providing pro-active direction to the IT organization on the overall target IT solution landscape;
  • IT Competence management: safeguarding the quality and continuous improvement of IT business processes.
