Introduction to the job

Do you get energy from a dynamic operational position in which you have contact with different internal and external stakeholders?
Would you like to contribute to ASML’s re-use processes and implementation for a more sustainable world?
If you want to get some real hands-on experience of how Operations is driven in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, then this might be something for you!

Role and responsibilities

Ensure successful delivery of all transport and packaging materials for all upgrade, relocations and installation events, even if it is a short term planning that seems undoable. Contribute to the supply chain team to ensure that the (thousands of) high-tech parts are delivered on-time, on-spec and at the right quality at the customer site. Meet the delivery requirements that have been agreed with the customers and ASMLs engineering team.
ASML’s Supply Chain (S&SC) is continuously aiming to better serve ASML’s customers, for example by providing complex upgrade services at the site of the client. During these events (a significant) part of the machine is replaced by modules that allow for e.g., increased output and enhanced specifications. These on-site upgrade activities create extremely demanding requirements for the supply chain processes, driven by the sensitivity of the parts (cleanroom handling only), the strict needs to minimize machine downtime and the constantly changing specifications of machines.

The goal is to establish re-use as much as possible on transport and packaging materials that allows the engineers to perform the build or installation activity with maximum efficiency and minimum downtime.

All these processes ultimately enable ASML’s clients to continue improving the performance of the laptops, tablets and smartphones that we use.

In this role, you are responsible for circular planning of transport and packaging materials and for return and re-use of these materials. You will be the first point of contact for the supplier, the internal and external demand parties to get the latest information about returns and re-use activities of the materials. You will mainly monitor the re-use processes at 3PL warehouse and suppliers on operational performances of supplier, ASML internal and field customer flows on an end-2-end basis. Drive returns and re-use of packaging materials based on KPI's, forecasting to ensure return performances.

Education and experience

Relevant Master degree is a must (e.g. Industrial Engineering & Management Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management).

  • 2-4 years relevant experience within a supply chain environment is a pre;
  • Excellent verbal and written professional communication in English;
  • Experience with an ERP system is a pre
  • Knowledge of business complexity, supply chain and/or relevant industry
  • A tactical, analytical thinker with strong interpersonal and communication skills, decision making and project management skills
  • Drive for results, act under high pressure and stakeholder management
  • Cultural awareness and SAP knowledge are a prerequisite
  • Lean experience preferred

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Operational attitude - You are able to keep a constant overview of your work and to keep overseeing the supply chain process;
  • Stakeholders management – You are able to keep in touch with the different stake holders and make sure everyone is well informed;
  • Customer Focus - You are able to understand what the needs are of our (internal) clients and you can keep them well-informed;
  • Stress resistance - You are able to cope with stress and pressure as this position is on a critical supply chain path that is constantly changing
