Introduction to the job
The Greenhouse project is driving the replacement of the ClearCase based development environment and processes by a state-of-the art software development environment. This software development environment services a large community with over 2500 active developers, ranging from embedded software engineers to functional development. The software being developed in this environment is deployed to the ASML machines at the customer.
Migrating the software development community to the new platform is an essential part of the project and your role. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team with IT and software engineers to deliver results fast and in short cycles. This team migrates the tools and processes in incremental steps in close contact with the end-users.
Senior Software Migration Engineer
You will be working in the migration team as a lead towards one or more customer teams. The teams are typically sized 4-7 with highly skilled and educated people. The team applies an agile scrum way of working. Your job is to prepare and execute the technical work packages and monitor the quality of the results. Your primary focus will be hands-on guiding the customer team in the migration. Besides this, you will be designing and implementing tooling solutions in accordance with requirements and roadmap.
Knowledge & experience
-Strong background in software development using C/C++ and Python
-Software development within ASML or similar environments is a plus
-Knowledge of ASML software architecture and tooling is a plus
-DevSecOps tools and principles
-Strong knowledge on ecosystems (SCM and CICD) such as GitHub
-Building embedded software using build systems (Bazel is a plus)
-Linux (RHEL) and similar operating systems
-Infrastructure as code tools (such as Rundeck, Terraform, Ansible)
-Containerization knowledge & experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
-Cloud platforms (GCP)
