ASML is the world's leading provider of the most complex lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, at ASML we manufacture machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits. To check the quality of our output we use the Multi e-Beam Inspection tools, which are part of ASML’s holistic lithography portfolio. ASML has an Electron Optical Competence center in Delft with multi-disciplinary teams where we combine Research with Development & Engineering. Job Mission
ASML Delft is developing a new generation Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) for ASML’s e-Beam Inspection Program. A complex module, combining mechanical and electrical design with MEMS technology. The project is still in a concept phase and you will have to drive the project from here to a manufacturable design. Stakeholder management will be key for the success of the project, therefore you will need to align multiple internal and external stakeholders in Delft, Veldhoven, California and Taiwan.

Role and responsibilities

As Project Leader you will:
• Bring structure to a complex technical project and maintain overview;
• Pro-actively drive the project to deliver best customer value;
• Manage stakeholders within and outside of ASML;
• Provide leadership and give direction to a team of engineers in Delft;
• Give clear and transparent updates to ASML management and the engineers in our department;
• Actively participate in design reviews.

Education and experience

• Technical MSc. or PhD. in Physics, knowledge about Electron optics and MEMS is a plus;
• Experience with the development of high-tech hardware;
• Experience as a Project Leader (3+ years) in a technical environment, e.g. microscopes; advanced printers or scientific/medical equipment development;
• Experience in managing a group of technical professionals.

Context of the position
ASML’s Development & Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and realization of all products in the ASML portfolio and has a department in Delft.
Within the D&E sector, our department is responsible for functions, modules, technical competences and qualification tools for inspection equipment, in particular multi-beam electron microscopes.
