Introduction to the job

Manage customer accounts and coordinate all activities relative to these accounts. Ensure customer trust is managed proactively with ASML products and services.

Select Areas of Focus:

  • Create sales pipeline, forecast business for systems/services, and meet annual target sales forecast (revenue, margins and market-share).Execute to ASML order fulfillment processes/systems as required.
  • Develop product knowledge and application use cases to create sales strategies to segment, target and position the HMI product portfolio against various customer roadmaps centered around eBeam Metrology & Inspection
  • Manage and develop account relationships across all customer organizational levels.Create customer executive relationship plans to foster a collaborative partnership between ASML/HMI and various customers.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships with various ASML, such as Customer Support, Product Marketing, Sales Operations and other supporting sectors.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

Account Management: Manage customer accounts and coordinate all necessary activities to ensure customer trust and account profitability. Develops and maintains a partnership relationship with national accounts and supports service providers within an assigned region, leading to increased sales throughout that regional account base. Understand the customers business, processes and key issues. Ensure that ASML’s capabilities are consistent with customer requirements and understood by both parties. Continue to develop potential new customers and markets for ASML products.

  • Travel within North America – 40 – 50%
  • Account Support: Coordinates and implements product and sales training to regional accounts. Work’swith Customer Support to contribute to integrated customer account management. Chair and drive ASML Account Team activities. Keep up to date on major global activities and trends directly relevant to area of responsibility.
  • Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of long term and short term sales strategies. Demonstrates clear understanding of the overall sales business plan dynamics and the effect on customers’ accounts.
  • Sales Forecast: Prepares routine sales forecasts for ASML management. Gather and communicate customer and market information to ASML Management and Marketing, to facilitate management decision making on pricing, marketing, etc.
  • Contracts: May negotiate or assist in the negotiation of contracts with customers within ASML guidelines. Responsible for managing the sales order processes to closure.
  • Administration and Communication: Ensure that all quotation and all other customer communication are handled promptly and accurate. Responsible for managing quotation and sales order processes for the applicable accounts by monitoring administration of account progress and customer satisfaction.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of relevant, work related experience in Sales, Marketing or Product Management. Master’s degree preferred.Degree in an engineering field, or equivalent business experience.
  • Semiconductor Capital Equipment industry highly desired.
  • Account Management / Sales experience required.
  • Proven skills developing and increasing sales throughout a regional account base.
  • Experience coordinating and training on products, services, etc. with internal and external customers.
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing strategies, forecasts, utilizing market data, etc.
  • Skilled in contract negotiations.
  • Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from data or report information.
  • Search solutions for problems, create methodologies, mobilize resources to research objectives
  • Ability to multi-task, drive various account issues that may lead to customer trust issues.Well versed in using MS Office suite to communicate and or capture critical summary of various customer engagements
