ASML’s Development & Engineering (D&E) DUV sector is responsible for the specification, design and integration of the ASML DUV products. The Optical Column (OC) Industrialization group is responsible for the industrialization of these products by embedding operational requirements early in the design phase and to specify, design, implement and integrate corresponding qualification tools (test rigs), mainly at ASML and Zeiss.
As a Qualification Tool architect you give technical direction to a multi-disciplinary team by specifying, integrating and verifying qualification tools for optical modules (lens, illuminator) at the Twinscan Factory and Zeiss.
Furthermore, you drive the definition of the next generation of these tools in close cooperation with the functional and/or sector architects and the team
Act as the qualification tool development representative in a multidisciplinary design team
Define, document and maintain specifications of the electrical, mechanical and software architecture of qualification tool modules
Align requirements and solutions with your functional and electrical architect counterpart
Define, maintain and drive the Qualification Tooling roadmap and knowledge
Define and perform studies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for new or upgraded qualification tools and get agreement with the team and stakeholders
Define and update test rig End of Life (EOL) and maintenance plans
Being the voice of the factory and customer in an early design phase of a new products
Act as a technical lead and coach for the people in the team
Work according to Agile/SAFe. Support the Product Owner in the preparation of the 6 quarter backlog
The holder of this position reports to the D&E DUV OC Industrialization Group Leader
Master degree or PhD in Mechatronics, Electrical engineering or Applied Physics is preferred
>5 years of experience in an Engineering environment, preferably within ASML, with high tech products and complex production processes
Experience with architecture, design, realization and verification of mechatronics systems
Experience in multidisciplinary projects and teams, involving mechatronics, optics, electronics and software is a pre
Broad scope: ASML system knowledge, software, mechanics, electronics, optics, data analyses, Agile
Take ownership and initiatives, structured and flexible attitude
Excellent analytical skills and “helicopter view”
Able to influence without power and speak up
Self-propelling, decisive and entrepreneurial attitude
Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
