Introduction to the job

The ultimate goal is optimize output planning via material availability and goods flow to secure factory on time output through reliable supply chain management & continuous improvement.
The role is to manage entire demand and supply value chain activities and ensure material availability at right time, in the right quantity with sound quality to support manufacturing from pilot build to volume ramp and installation at customer site. Lead the team by close connection with key stakeholders in Linkou factory and other functions within ASML. The objective is to ensure the goods and information flows as well as activities; like new product launch, engineering change implementation, master data management, inventory management, material availability, and integral supply chain management, 3rd party warehouse management, reverse logistics, emergency escalations are well managed in a lean and cost effective manner.

Role and responsibilities

1. Master & ProductionPlanning, including MPS refurb & YS new build systems, DUV/MPS/YS modules& CS spares
Liaison the demand (Central & supplychain planning) and supply (Manufacturing resources & materialsavailability) as well as give strategic direction to the master planning,manage and adjust production activities so that the agreed output plan is meetingcustomer required date(CRD).
Manage work-in-process value and giveinsight of projected future supply chain inventory to ensure inventories withinagreed strategic levels with flexibility to meet dynamic scenario’s


2. Material Planning, includingMPS refurb & YS new build systems, DUV/MPS/YS modules & CS spares
Manage master data are proper maintain tosecure material availability while minimize the inventory on supportingproduction needs.
Escalate potential material shortage (CME –Critical Material Escalation) when necessary through availability analysisand monitor D/S progress monitoring


3. New Product Planning& Logistics
Participatein the new product launch planning with factory NPI project team to securematerial availability of new products launch, and initiate possible logisticscost avoidance prior to transfer to volume ramp
Collaboratewith cross-sector Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team to secure allEngineering Change (EC) implementation plan at LF site including materialavailability, obsolete avoidance, and master data control

4. Warehouse Management
Organize &Manage a way of working and relationship with 3rd party logistics providersto ensure a smooth execution of support processes on material handling aswell as technical support to manufacturing when necessary.
Drive improvement onagreed KPI with 3PL and develop opportunities in continuous achievement ofefficiency gains, and enhancement of value added service support to reflecton the cost effectiveness

5. Project Management
Organize & lead necessaryresources, budget and timing to make continuous improvement of thedepartmental value chain from end to end to create efficiency gain in bothprocess and cost to sustain the department growth

Factory Planning & Logistics Management provide services to manufacturing on material availability for all outputs within the Linkou factory scope. To manage the market dynamics (demand) as well as long supply chain (Lead Time), the flexibility is the most important culture in this organization

Factory Planning & Logistics Management Logistics and Supply Chain Management is the main gateway on balancing/connection between suppliers andmanufacturing in the value chain of ASML

Supply chain supports LF comes from global locations. It is important to understand ASML global supply chain operation and create collaboration also cross-factories (mainly Wilton Factory & Twinscan Factory) to secure LF output.

Material availability for MPS
Material availability for MPS is the most challenge due to long lead time and high cost
Material quality
Material quality cause production interruption (B time) is another challenge (lots of unknown quality from buy back system is the main reason)
Master planning for all product lines within LF
Balance the dynamic demand from various business line to secure the output is challenging in terms of how to link all the up & down streams activities in the most effective way to drive and lead the master planning in LF for optimize output possibility

Necessary Safety stock level to secure material availability
Resources allocation to secure business priorities
Drive KPIs to link and achieve operational main KPIs
Determine the level of critical material escalation (CME L1-L2-L3) to secure LF output
Material emergency support CS escalation to secure customer satisfaction

Team:

Master Planning &Control Manager
Leadthe team with 3-various functions, including: master planning, warehousemanagement, and continuous improvement
Focuson the mid-to-long-term (12-24 month) master planning within LF withcollaboration of OE (operational excellence) team to secure LF capability andflexibility to meet all the requirements for future growth
Collaboratewithin ASML cross-functional team (intra-factories or other sectors) tosecure the long term planning
Control& manage material goods flow and system output deliveries via 3rdparty contracted services to secure a smooth and flowing warehouse management
Drive3rd party warehouse team to meet agreed KPI and continuousimprovement for efficiency gain in both process and cost initiatives
Manage& acting as gate keeper for overall master data consistency and accuracywithin LF for production & material planning team to secure the materialavailability and production lead time to meet the daily planning operation output

Production Planning GroupLeader
Twosub-groups under the production planning group: system planning and moduleplanning
Focuson the short-to-mid-term (1-12 month) production planning within LF
Securethe material delivery on-time with right quantity to production manufacturingsite

Education and experience

University or above with major in Industrial Engineering or Business Administrative; or MBA degree

Minimum 10 years management experiences in complex logistics, supply chain, customer service and/or familiar with manufacturing environment.
