Role and responsibilities
As an Electronics Architect, you are building up(on) various electronics concepts and products for both existing and new ASML products. You do this by defining (parts of the) soon-to-be electronics systems by function and performance. Also will you contribute on actually implementing these products in close cooperation with the designers and support E-Integrators with test bench validation and system integration.
The E-Architect is responsible for the following:
•Define and maintain a roadmap of electrical modules and infrastructure on system and subsystem level.
•Generate, maintain and review documents and technical drawings on multiple system levels.
•If needed, troubleshoot in our labs, factories and at customers (occasionally).
•Actively do your stakeholder management with Program Management, Electronics team(s) and Line Management.
•Manage your own agenda and do the effort estimation related to integration activities.
•Support the outsourcing of development activities at co-developers.
•Contribute to the multidisciplinary roadmap concerning the electronics within the ASML products.
•Transfer knowledge to team, production- and service-engineers.
•Contribute to analysis and solution of reliability issues.
•Interact intensively with colleagues from other groups and departments when required.
Education and experience
Master degree or PhD in electrical engineering or equivalent.
•It is mandatory to have 5+ years of experience in a similar role in high tech industry, preferably for big scale stationary equipment.
•Previous and recent experience with ASML standards and Ways of Work is highly appreciated, either as a former ASML employee or contractor.
•Broad technical knowledge and interest of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.

The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the department Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products. This open position is within the Business Line Applications.
The E-Architect reports to the Group Manager Electronics or delegated Team Leader.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such U.S. controlled technology prior to beginning work.
