Pre-install engineer / expert Drive Laser
In a nutshell
Introduction to the job
ASML’s Development and Engineering (D&E) sector is responsible for the specification, design and integration of the ASML machines. Within D&E, the Mechanical Development (MDEV) cluster is responsible for mechanical design.
The Drive Laser group in MDEV is responsible for the mechanical design quality of the Drive Laser module of the EUV system, which includes the information needed to install this module at ASML customers, the so-called pre-install data.
Role and responsibilities
As pre-install engineer you will be the technical interface for D&E projects to deliver a high quality package of pre-install documentation, which enables our customers to successfully prepare their fabs for the installation of their ASML machine, also handshaking with supplier.
You will be responsible to deliver a documentation package to our end-customers, which provides them all the information they need to install the facility supplies and connections for gasses and fluids, as well as footprint information required to install and operate their new ASML machine.
To do so you will need to interface technically with all D&E projects to collect and combine this information in a single package, communicating also with our Drive Laser hardware supplier to enable a full E2E handshake on pre-install documentation.
This gives you the opportunity to learn about many different aspects of the latest ASML machines, without having to go very much in depth into any single topic. You will need to challenge projects and supplier to ensure customer requirements are taken into account in the design.
Education and experience
- Technical or scientific Bachelor degree or equivalent working level.
- Working experience in a similar role is preferred.
Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:
- Technical affinity to quickly understand design issues and discuss technical content with projects, suppliers and customers.
- Strong focus on communication and collaboration.
- Proactive and assertive attitude.
- Affinity with handling a set of technical data (drawings, tables, etc.)
