UX Researcher - Service Designer
In a nutshell
Introduction to the jobFounded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML has its headquarters in Veldhoven the Netherlands and has R&D and manufacturing operations in North America, Asia and the Netherlands.
The ASML IT division supports information management, workplace and collaboration facilities, infrastructure, automation and optimization of key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are mission-critical for almost all ASML’s internal- and external activities.
Currently the ASML IT department is in an Agile Transformation, in which SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0) is being implemented.
Your goal is to make sure that the needs of all relevant user groups are understood and taken into account in the design of myASML2.0, our new intranet (also known as Employee Experience Platform). You will also ensure that the user journeys will be monitored and continuously improved after go-live. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that consists of e.g., a product owner, a solution architect, a business process analyst and software developers. You will play an important role in defining, embedding and executing the user-centered design process, together with the Visual UX Designer and the Digital Strategist. You will also share knowledge and experiences with your ±30 peer designers from the UX competence.
·Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, surveys, concept testing, etc.) to:
oIdentify/create/improve the relevant personas
oIdentify/create/improve the relevant user journey (as-is and to-be)
oIdentify/create/improve the user requirements
·Plan and execute Design Thinking workshops to:
oInvolve and align all relevant stakeholders
oAlign design priorities with business priorities
oImprove the product strategy based on the vision of subject matter experts
·Continuously monitor and improve the relevant user journeys, through:
oUsability testing (moderated and unmoderated)
oUX analytics (with Adobe Analytics)
oUX surveys and feedback (with Qualtrics)
·Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize the right features, based on value.
·Collaborate with the Business Process Analyst to document user requirements.
·Collaborate with the Visual UX Designer to detail out user flows and visualize solution concepts.
·Present your work to other disciplines on the project team, such as the product owner, IT architect, development lead and project lead.
·Pro-actively share challenges and best practices with your peers from the virtual UX competence team.
This role is situated in IT End-User Services, which is part of the ‘Core IT’ domain. Our people are proud to be best in class in enabling ASML's employees in their challenge to deliver high class machines and services to our customers around the world. The Core IT portfolio exists of various ARTs and is growing.
The teams are a mixture of young talent and senior specialists with a strong focus on delivering business value for our stakeholders.

Digital Workplace (DW)
ART Digital Workplace provides workplace services for ASML staff world-wide as well as to 3rd party Suppliers. This includes laptops, special purpose devices, mobile device management, worldwide virtual desktops and Collaboration & Productivity services such as Office 365, Webcast, Intranet & Search and various other collaboration tools.
Who are we looking for?
·Bachelor’s degree in design, business, psychology, marketing or another relevant field.
·Postgraduate qualification or significant experience in a relevant industry or domain (e.g., intranets, “Mijn-… omgevingen”).
·An outstanding portfolio of work demonstrating strong human-centered design capabilities across a diverse range of projects, preferably for large enterprises.
·Ability to do ethnographic research (qualitative and quantitative).
·Ability to define, organize, and facilitate collaborative design processes (diverging and converging).
·Ability to quickly visualize ideas with various techniques.
·Ability to plan work and deliver on agreed goals independently.
·Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines.
·Ability to work under time pressure and rapidly changing conditions.
·Fluent in English, verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
·Eligible to work in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.
·Available for at least 32 hours per week.
