Department Information
The optical column is the heart of the EUV system, a technological miracle. ASML’s EUV machines push Moore’s law forward, enabling new technology waves that improve everyone’s life. Optical column comprises of many optical modules which are needed to guide the light to print the right image at the wafer which results into a chip. The department DE EUV Optical Column is responsible for delivery of the projection, illumination, dose control, and EUV light collection functions for the EUV machines. The department develops technical solutions, means and methods and competences to ensure these deliveries in all the different product phases.

Position in the organization:
Group manager of the group BL-EUV D&E OC E Dose and System Transmission Control. Function owner of EUV Dose Control. The holder of this position reports to the BL-EUV D&E Optical Column department manager.
Role and responsibilities
As manager of the group Optical Column Dose Control, you lead and manage a group of professionals. You stimulate and facilitate the personal development of group members. You drive innovations.
You act as solution provider. You achieve alignment with program management on the content and staffing of EUV development projects. You drive and develop the Dose Control function.
- Leadthe group (~26 FTE); coach and instruct the members: allots tasks, setspriorities, solves problems, and monitors budgets. You help our employeesto drive their own development through your coaching methods, routines,target setting and feedback.
- Ownerof the development and maintenance of the Dose Control function. Youensure the availability and adoption of best known methods, standards andtooling. You facilitate an effective learning feedback cycle and managethe relations of other function and competence owners in and outside ASML.You drive the road-mapping process.
- Contributeto the definition and implementation of departmental policy anddepartmental planning, including personnel, budgets, investments,resources and methods.
- Stimulatethe product and customer mind-set of the group-members at the fore-frontof the technical development.
- Responsiblefor the planning and allocation of people to the various projectactivities, in cooperation with departmental leaders and project managers
- Hiringof world-class group-members to excel in project and product deliverables,particularly within the competence areas of the group.
- Youstimulate studies via internships. The group has an internship programwhere several students have an internship or work on their thesis.
- Stimulateand coordinate joined development with 3rd parties like universities.
Education and experience
Technical University (Master) or PhD in Mathematics, Mechatronic Engineering, Applied Physics or Electrical Engineering
Relevant leadership experience as manager or senior architect in a multidisciplinary working environment.
