Role and responsibilities

Each person within EUV factory (EF) must be able to do his/her work in a safe working environment. To achieve this, the EF EHS team translates safety regulations and ASML policies to a workable and safe working environment for the EUV factory. The EF EHS team consists of members that all have specific Safety competencies, like for instance Laser safety, electrical safety and radiation. The EF EHS Team supports by: ensuring compliancy to safety regulations, improving safety on the working place by means of safety inspections and coaching/supervision, monitoring and reporting safety improvement measures and learnings from incidents. The group leader of the safety expert group not only leads this group but also drives projects on safety related topics: Within the EUV factory, globally and cross-sectoral.

EF EHS team is responsible for a broad work package, consisting of safety related services such as SRA/FMEAparticipation and signing of work permits. The EHS team has strong ties with the global EHS organization. All activities are all aiming to improve the safety culture, increase safety awareness and take measures to continuously support and advise the factory to reach the next level of safety.The group leader ensures that the people have the right skills and experience levels and identifies and closes gaps in the competence need. Feedback is given to the people on performance and personal development. The group leader aligns with the other managers within Quality & EHS group (QEHS) on strategic staffing, performance management cycle, budgeting and improvement initiatives. The group leader creates competence and department roadmap and drives relevant activities.

Education and experience

You posses a bachelor (hbo) degree in Engineering, Safety or level with 5 years of relevant working experience.
Dutch and English skilled both verbally and in writing. Furthemore, you have proven industrial experience in multi-disciplinary projects. You are familiar with Environment, Health and Safety, or ASML engineering and have proven experience with leading a group of people (min. 4FTE).

As EHS manager you are able to create an atmosphere of cooperation and trust. You can get people ‘on board’ (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills).

Additionally, you have good communicational skills (verbal and written) in English (and Dutch is a pre). You are a highly committed and flexible individual (sometimes working outside office hours, changing requirements and boundary conditions). A robust personality is a must. Lastly, you are able to organize, offer structure and manage a broad set of stakeholders.
