Project lead for EHS and regulatory management in Japan

Position in the Organization
•The CS Projects & Operations department is part of the CS Japan organization. It provides operational management support to entire CS Japan operation and serves as the backbone of the operation.
•The teams function is to be the interface and bridge between central (Veldhoven HQ) and local operation as well as leading key initiatives in ASML JP CS organization.
•EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) is one of ASML’s important values as a company that positively affect entire operation WW, when managed correctly.
•Regulatory operation and stakeholder management is also an important role which becomes even more essential, considering to welcome new technology (EUV) to Japan.
•This position will be part of a global project team where ASML members from multiple nations/locations join
•Expected location for this position Hiroshima (Saijo) office, to support 1st EUV insertion to Japan. However, since Yokkaichi office is also major operation site, initial location can be adjustable between Yokkaichi and Hiroshima.
•Travel (up to 15% of the time) can be part of the job, both within Japan and overseas. Considering job contents, there are several opportunities of oversea travel.
•Manage continuous improvement for EHS. From daily maintenance activities up to certificate requirements (i.e. ISO), a large scope of activities and processes that require continuous optimization by process change.
•Manage new regulation and safety requirement. When we have EUV, regulation requirements (e.g. Gas, electricity, vacuum) will be even more tight and complex. Thus, developing process and protocol to manage these new requirements is one of key initiative as ASML Japan.
•Run operation to fulfill regulatory requirement such as managing record/data and certification.
•Support management on customer communication. Especially, liaise with the customer representatives on EHS and regulatory subjects.
•Organize and create necessary reports with continuous improvement
•Structurally organize templates, material, communicate
•Deliver safety and regulatory related trainings according to requirements
•Perform on-site inspections on customer sites and office, to secure safe work environment for ASML engineers and ensure rules and requirements are adhered properly
•Act as the ambassador of local CS operation towards central organization. Collect and provide local feedback towards central team.

Educational/Language Level Requirements
Education: Bachelor or Master degree in an Engineering, Physics, Business management or related field.
Language: Good level of English both verbal and written to communicate effectively with local and overseas staff on a daily basis.(TOEIC>800)
Native level Japanese (preferable) or equivalent.
