Introduction

Within our Strategic Sourcing & Procurement department we would like to welcome an enthusiastic Sourcing Lead for the Silicon Based Devices category (SBD). The Sourcing Lead is responsible for managing one or more supplier accounts, has a high spend responsibility and is capable of building bridges with internal stakeholders and external suppliers on all management levels.

The Sourcing Lead reports to the Category Manager.

Job Mission

The Sourcing Lead is responsible for further strengthening and development of ASML’s supplier relations. He or she acts as a strong leader and assures the setup and realization of strategic, tactical and operational goals.

Job Description

Sourcing Lead for the Silicon Based Devices category (SBD) is responsible for:

  • Leads and executes negotiations for strategic deals within assigned category.
  • Involves selected suppliers in early stages of New Product Introduction of ASML, closes NPI contracts.
  • Drives and executes global category strategies.
  • Builds and maintains long-term relationships with international suppliers.
  • Is able to negotiate on senior management level with suppliers, mainly intellectual propriety and commercial terms.
  • Uses subject matter expertise and market knowledge as input in project teams and product designs.
  • Manages overall procurement for product related goods and drives for continuous improvements.
  • Leads Supplier Account Teams and acts in the Strategic Product Family Team.
  • Interacts with internal stakeholders (D&E, Program, Manufacturing) on all levels within the organization.
  • Is willing to travel within Europe or intercontinental.

Education

Bachelor or Master-degree in a relevant area (e.g. Business Economics, Business Administration, Technology Management, Engineering or Physics).

Experience

  • 5 years of work experience in a professional, high-tech, international environment.
  • Proven experience in closing multimillion and multiyear contracts.
  • Experience in sourcing complex assemblies at suppliers, supporting the project timelines.
  • Account management and semiconductor manufacturing know how.

    Good communicator combined with a result driven mentality. Client focused and problem solving team player who creates strong commitment with internal stakeholders and external parties. Strategic, analytical, structured, accurate and able to maintain overview, assess priorities and focus on concrete results.

    Context of the position

    As a large-scale system integrator, ASML focuses on extensive outsourcing and integration of its supply chain. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing cost price is accounted for by purchased goods. Therefore, high level flexibility must be built into the supplier network. The Sourcing and Supply Chain Department creates, maintains and qualifies this global network and is responsible for all supplier-interaction.
