As global service sales controller you oversee the entire process for installed base forecasting and are able to effectively communicate with different cultures and teams within ASML finance. You are hands on and able to cope with fast-paced dynamic environment that requires insights into financial data, risks & opportunities.

Role and responsibilities

The global service sales controller within the Business Insights & Control (BI&C) department is responsible for analysis of the global service (sales) forecasting and challenging the local sales controllers and/or service business managers on their forecast. Besides on the content review of service sales plans, this role is also responsible for the monthly coordination of the overall service P&L forecast as well as the yearly budget cycle and long term financial plans. To do this role effectively, we have implemented SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for Service planning & reporting and the service sales controller is key-user of this SAP SAC system.

Part of the Finance 2025 vision of ASML is to transition in the next few years from forecasting and budgeting based on historical trend information and run rates, towards predictive modelling that support the budgeting and forecasting processes. We need your help to deliver on this transition, therefore an affinity with data modelling is desirable to be able to contribute to improvement projects to achieve this step up.

The role is part of a highly driven global team, working together with different parts of the finance organization of ASML. You will be exposed to several senior management layers in the organization as well as controllers in multiple countries (Asia, Europe and the US).

Team responsibility
Together with the team you are responsible to:

  • Deliver the monthly installed base P&L forecast on time
  • Explain the business drivers on the service sales forecast
  • Challenge the country controllers on their forecasts
  • Adding quality and value to information by providing solid analysis
  • Work with the IT development team on continuous improvement of SAC
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to automate planning processes
  • Provide proactive support and input to sector/Business Line controllers

Education and experience

Master degree, preferably in the area of Controlling, Business Economics or Business Administration.

You have 5-7 years relevant experience in finance or accounting. You are an experienced user in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and have worked with or are comfortable with learning (new) BI Reporting tooling (e.g. Tibco Spotfire or Tableau). Preferably you also have experience in SAP (incl. BW, SAC, BPC and BO).

The job is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights & Control team. The global service sales controller reports to the Senior Manager Customer Value, Installed base analytics within the BI&C department. He/she interacts with various departments in and outside of finance.
