Solution Architect - machine data and analytics

Do you have affinity with the newest technologies, Cloud and data engineering? The IT Big Data Analytics group us are currently expanding and we are searching for a talented Solution Architect to join our team.

Role and responsibilities

The machine data solution architect acts independently towards business and IT teams for machine data demand.The solution architect manages his stakeholders by aligning on architectural challenges and choices made to address these. The solution architect collaborates with other solution architects (via the architecture competence) to ensure consistency in the overall big-data landscape.
During the development of solutions, the solution architect safeguards that solution development is adhering to the architectural guidance and that deviations are understood and accepted. The solution architect also validates that any technical debt incurred during the solution development is identified and tracked for resolution at a later stage.
In short:

• Provide expertise and leadership regarding cloud architecture for both infrastructure and applications in Azure;
• Contribute to technical road-maps for cloud implementations;
• Together with DevOps teams create solution design using cloud native patterns were possible;
• Develop PoC/PoV as and when required;
• Acts as a subject-matter expert around Azure Machine Data Landscape.

To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Azure Solution Architect;
• Proficient knowledge of Azure;
• Experience in setting up enterprise level account structures and security models in Azure;
• Extensive knowledge in cloud based data integration patterns and architectures;
• Troubleshooting complex scenarios related to an Application Deployment;
• Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way;
• Proven track record in road mapping, technical architecture design, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management;
• Good customer focus and customer facing skills;
• Agile minded, experienced with working with Agile Release Trains (ARTS).
