Strategy Manager - Strategic Business Development

Introduction to the job

Strategic Business Development (SBD) is part of ASML’s Strategy & President’s Office (SPO). SPO’s role is to advise, align and facilitate the Presidents, Board of Management and Executive Committee to define and execute ASML's strategy by providing strategic insights and value creation opportunities to help shape ASML's future.

A key remit for SBD is to scout and monitor for emerging technologies and trends in ASML’s core and adjacent markets. One such trend is the emergence 3D and Heterogeneous Integration (HI) which is now being adopted alongside 2D shrink to drive continued chip performance improvements.

We would be interested in talking to candidates with experience in working in this space, especially those with both a technical and commercial background. Reporting to the SBD Group Lead, your stakeholders will include other SBD team members, Research & Technology, Business Line Strategy Teams, Corporate Strategy and Corporate Marketing.

Role and responsibilities

• Bring a packaging insider’s view and insight on developments and future customer roadmaps in 3D & HI technologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in 3D & HI through regular attendance of relevant events and conferences.
• Lead and support strategic business related deep-dive projects on specific topics in 3D & HI.
• Develop and maintain an ecosystem map on key 3D & HI players and trends identifying key pockets of value leverage for ASML.
• Stimulate, and integrate 3D & HI activities across the wider ASML organization.

Education and experience

Must have

• Graduate level in science and technology.
• 6+ years’ experience in semiconductor / packaging technology related role, with 2+ years commercial experience (e.g. sales, marketing, business development) in semiconductor equipment or semiconductor foundry services.

Desirable

• Masters level qualification in Business.
• Exposure to M&A, technology/IP acquisition.
• Creating & presenting business plans.
