The Compliance team, as part of the Risk & Business Assurance department, is responsible to drive sustainable and cost effective embedding of compliance requirements into processes and day to day activities throughout the global organization. Compliance topics vary from Customs, to Intellectual Property, Product Regulatory and, for instance and ESG. The team supports, advices and drives the business to implement a consistent, structured and formalized compliance framework and to enhance a compliance mindset in all parts of the business. The main pillars of the compliance framework consist of regulatory and business change management, risk and controls assessments and control design, communication and training, monitoring and reporting and incident management.
It is the mission of the Compliance team to enable all ASML colleagues to act in accordance with laws & regulations. They provide the means, methods and hands-on support to embed compliant behavior into everyone’s day-to-day activities. Together with the compliance experts and the business, we take responsibility to change behavior, enhance compliance awareness and to create a compliant, inclusive and trusting environment for everyone.
Role and responsibilities
As part of the Compliance team, the key responsibilities are:
·Further develop and continuously improve the design (blueprint) of the compliance framework
·Implement the compliance framework for a number of assigned compliance topics;
·Gain an in-depth understanding of the business processes, assess and advice on the relevant compliance risks and controls;
·Drive change and enhance compliance awareness;
·Setup and maintain contact with the key stakeholders for relevant compliance topics;
·Identify and drive opportunities in the organization to improve responsible behavior in accordance with laws & regulations;
·Participate in key compliance related projects in the organization;
·Contribute to preparing reports for senior management;
·You will work closely together with our risk & control, assurance and legal compliance functions.

Education and experience
·(Post) Master degree in Business Administration, (Business) Law, Auditing, Business Control and/or Finance, or another relevant area relating to for instance change management and behavior.
·5-8 years relevant compliance experience (designing and implementing compliance programs and related training), or experience in audit and/or advisory/consulting;
·Big-4 equivalent of a talented (senior) Manager or comparable role in business;
·Experience in a complex and international environment;
·Experienced in translating (legal) requirements into business processes and controls;
·Program management experience;
·Experience in stakeholder management;
·Experience in a reorganization or business transition is a plus;
·Knowledge of and experience with relevant regulatory topics is preferred (e.g. ESG/sustainability, product regulatory and finance related areas).

Position in the organization
The Compliance Program Specialist (Manager) reports to the Senior Manager Corporate Compliance.
As ASML is a listed company in both the U.S. (NASDAQ) as well as in the Netherlands (AEX), acting in accordance with laws & regulations is key. It makes this position challenging, complex and crucial within ASML.
