Introduction to the job

At ASML we use advanced data-driven algorithms to fuel the semiconductor and electronic revolution. If your ambition is to apply your knowledge, personal and leadership skills to very complex challenges and you feel excited when those challenges lead to successful new products, please read further.
The advanced ASML lithography systems are a key component in the manufacturing of almost all advanced memory and logic devices. The handling of data at ever increasing scales, including image/signal acquisitions, logs and human knowledge enables the next generation lithography and metrology systems pushing technology limits.

In ASML Research, we are scaling-up our Data Science team where we drive innovation in the areas of Image/Signal Processing, Deep Learning, Statistics, Knowledge Representation and Data mining working on state-of-the-art challenges.

Are you challenged by demanding researchprojects in a multidisciplinary context? Do you have the technical capabilities to provide innovative solutions? Does contributing to the world’s most advanced lithography and metrology machines makes you feel responsible and proud? Then this might be the right opportunity for you.

Role and responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for driving the development of novel state-of-the-art Data Science approaches, in a multi-disciplinary team setting:

•Drive the research and development of novel highly scalable data-driven systems.
•Build/prototype models working together with physics/domain focused as well as software teams.
•Collaborate with on-product applications groups and our academic partners actively working on a Data Science framework for ASML products
•Stay abreast of the latest developments in your field of expertise
•Generate patents/publications protecting ASML products
•You invest in an academic network, define and support academic research projects in this field.
•You are curious by nature, and keep your knowledge up to date by means of reading literature and visiting conferences.
