As an Architect you are defining,realizing, qualifying, managing and maintaining various electronic conceptsand products for both existing and new ASML products. Furthermore youcontribute on defining the next generation of these products in close cooperationwith other functional architects and design teams.

The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the cluster Electronic Development (EDEV) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.

Within EDEV EUV the group Laser Light Positioning (LLP) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions needed for the beam transport system and focus units.

The Electronics Architect reports to the EDEV EUV SRC LLP Group Manager.

Role and responsibilities

The Electronics Architect (BeamMeasurement Controls) is responsible for the following:

  • Perform feasibilitystudies to determine the preferred implementation scenario for new or changedFC-072 functions. Get agreement with multidisciplinary stakeholders fromSDEV, MDEV, MTD, Metrology and IE, to accurately hit the Tin droplets withmultiple laser beams.
  • Specify EDEV relatedchallenges on e.g., sensing and actuation (HW) concepts, timing &synchronization with CARM.
  • Specify interfacesfor analog and/or digital board designs, electrical modules andinfrastructure.
  • Work as EDEVrepresentative on an opto-mechatronic subsystem, for example the new1um EXE5200 source.
  • Guarantee designquality and compliance by knowledge, experience and usage of reviewing andrisk reducing tools.
  • Define the roadmapconcerning the electronics within the ASML products.
  • Contribute toanalysis and solutions of reliable, manufacturable and serviceableelectronics.
  • Act as a technicalleader and be able to manage the outsourcing of development activities atco-developers.
  • Make work breakdownand effort estimation for the various designs, adjusted with otherstakeholders.
  • Act as a technicalcoach for other team members.

Education and experience

  • Master degree orhigher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Multiple years of experience in guiding designs of electrical & electronic modules, racks (e.g. CARM), PCBA’s, cables and cabinets.
  • Experience with actuator control loops and related electronics is highly desired.
  • Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.
  • Experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications.
  • Experience with ASML standards and Ways of Workings is highly appreciated, either as a former ASML employee or contractor.
  • Technical knowledge in analog and digital design is a plus.
  • Experience with electromechanical designs is a plus.
