Founded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML has its headquarters in Veldhoven (the Netherlands) and has R&D and manufacturing operations in North America, Asia and the Netherlands.
The IT organization of ASML supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. Part of the IT organization is the IT Core Services department providing all, mission-critical, IT support services. This not only includes generic IT infrastructure services like servers, databases, storage and connectivity services but also laptops, telecom services and collaboration services used within ASML.
We have transformed the innovation of our IT infrastructure organization to an Agile way of working SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework 5.0) and we are looking for a Product Owner to lead and drive our Infra Compute team. The Compute team is a scrum team and responsible for all innovations in the compute IaaS areas (e.g., VMware, Cisco UCS, Cisco/Netapp Flexpod, e.d.).
Role and responsibilities
The mission of this job is to understand the customer demand and to ensure that the scrum team delivers maximum value in line with our customer's needs.
The Product Owner is part of the scrum team and works closely together with:
- Stakeholders of your products within ASML IT and beyond;
- The Scrum Master and technical specialists within the team(s) you serve and coach;

As Product Owner for this team you serve as the customer proxy and take end to end responsibility for the value delivered by the Agile team. You pro-actively engage all stakeholders and use our Agile tooling as data driven decision makers. By ensuring that the team’s backlog is visible, contains well defined stories and is aligned with all stakeholders you will stay in control and drive collaboration. Continuous alignment with all stakeholders, the CPO, other PO's, your Scrum Master and our architects is key for success. You work together with the CPO to understand the program backlog, vision and priorities for the next PI. You play a key role in the quarterly PI planning event, where you assist the team with the refinement of the team backlog, story estimation and sequencing. Through the continuous, renewed insights in the objectives and updated backlog you are swiftly able to adjust the course where needed.
