Are you an very experienced Product Owner (PO) with ambition or an experienced Chief Product Owner (CPO), with vast experience in Agile/Scrum, SAFe and/or DevOps? Do you like to work on next generation reporting and analytical solutions on various operational data. Would you like to work cross-sector and/or cross-business line and bridge gaps? If so, this might the right role for you!

Role and responsibilities

Your role is to become the Chief Product Owner of 6 DevOps teams and lead a SAFe ART (~45 people), bridging the gap between the customers who have a long list of wishes, and the teams who have to deliver successful products in increments. While the teams are independent and multi-disciplinary groups of people, you (together with your PO’s) decide on priority of items on the backlog trying to maximize the added value to our customers. To help the team understanding your decisions, it is important to form and convey your goals and vision every increment, keeping both customers and team happy.

Within the spirit of CSI and AIS, you always aim to define and implement structural improvements to prevent re-occurrence in the future.

Job description

The Chief Product Owner (CPO) works with the RTE and PO’s to deliver items that create the most value for ASML


  • Owns the vision, roadmap andART portfolio; Ensures the entire ART understands the context, vision, directionand importance for ASML
  • Aligns with senior stakeholderson content and prioritization
  • Takes end2end ownership of ARTdeliverables and decide whether ART backlog items are done
  • Manages ART backlog, deliverables,risks, dependencies (in- and outside the ART), x-sector deliverables,co-developers and suppliers (delivery, time, cost), stakeholders andescalations
  • Manages tripleconstraint
  • Cooperates with the RTE andSM’s to drive the team towards results and identify team improvements
  • Understands the requests ofthe senior stakeholders and ASML’s priorities
  • Explains priorities for thenext Program Increment (PI), owns the ART backlog for PI planning andbreaks down the larger work items into smaller ones to be picked-up by thePO’s
  • Manages priorities ofescalations during the Program Increment (PI)
  • Manages inter-ARTcommunication on portfolio level.
  • Reports to Group Leader andoperationally to the Value Stream Manager

  • Collaborates closely withthe Release Train Engineer and System Architect (to balance enabler work)
  • Contributes to ART planning& forecasting
  • Participates in SystemDemo’s and Inspect and Adapt

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in technical / Information Management / Business Informatics area.
  • 7 years of experience in Agile/Scrum/DevOps/SAFe
  • 7 years of experience in Reporting & Analytics
  • 5 years of PO experience and/or >3 years of CPO experience
  • Knowledge and experience of ASML (products) is a bonus

AIS (ASML Information System) is a group within CSI who strive for the growth of a “one-stop shop for data and information”. AIS currently consists of multiple DevOps teams and ART’s, who develop IT solutions helping the business to make information out of the huge amounts of data our machines generate.
