Role and responsibilities

Maximizing the probability of ASML achieving its vision, mission and business objectives in a responsible manner.


  • Improve the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of the ASML business continuity management system (ISO 22301);
  • Implement ASML business continuity policy and the supporting (IT) solution;
  • Identify potential threats and identify the impact to business operations (scenario analysis);
  • Execute relevant risk assessments and incident analysis;
  • Drive improvement of organizational resilience and effective response;
  • Engage with leaders and continuity liaisons in sectors to define and drive risk responses to remain within recovery time objectives;
  • Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management & Business Continuity with risk intelligence, guidance and decision making to prevent, manage and limit the impact of crisis events.

In this position you will be travelling internationally up to 15% of your time.

Education and experience

  • A master’s degree in business economics, risk management or technology;
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience (not solely in IT continuity);
  • 5+ years relevant experience within a corporate environment;
  • Outstanding professional in business continuity management.

Other Information

The Risk and Business Assurance function consists out of a team of 150+ professionals. The team is stationed in Veldhoven (Headquarters) as well as in US and Asia. The team operates world-wide and services all ASML entities. The Head of Enterprise Risk Management & Business Continuity reports to the Head of Risk and Business Assurance and Corporate Risk Committee which is chaired by the CFO.
