Introduction to the job

ASML is leading in the worldwide development, production and sales of high end lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. The sector Development and Engineering (D&E) is responsible for the specification, design, integration, qualification, and sustaining of all ASML products.

Role and responsibilities

In a dedicated team consisting of software integrators and testers you will integrate, test and deliver the software that plays a pivotal role in realizing the core functionality of our high end EUV machines.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, involving software, physics and mechatronics. You will interact with colleagues in D&E, but also with customer support (CS) and factory departments.

As a software integration and test engineer you will integrate and validate software (SW) solutions that increase the capabilities of our machines or that are essential for the creation of a new line of machines.
In addition you will support the long term development by taking responsibility for the definition and execution of our SW technology roadmap.

You will:
• check project deliveries from project teams for completeness.
• integrate the software deliveries into assemblies.
• qualify the assembly against a production release.
• manage the software archive and it’s layout.
• develop and optimize integration processes and tools.
• support developers with questions about integration tools or processes.
• participate in the risk assessment of the changes made in the software.
• determine which tests must be created and/or executed to qualify the software for release.
• execute the defined test sets to qualify a SW delivery.
• maintain and improve existing test scenarios as well as define, design and implement new tests scenarios and cases to increase the quality of SW deliveries.
• where possible automate those tests that have shown their value.

Education and experience

You have:
•Bachelor degree or higher in computer science, informatics, embedded systems or equivalent.
•3+ years of experience in large-scale software applications
•embedded programming experience is preferred.
•scripting knowledge (e.g. python, shell) for test automation.
•knowledgeable with testing methodologies (e.g. ISTQB certification).
•test experience on system/assembly level.
•experience with clearcase, SVN, git, jenkins experience.
•experience in C, C++, python and linux
•UML, OOP, Design Patterns knowledge is an advantage.
•agile, scrum, v-model.
•experience with risk management and risk assessment.
•experience with robot framework and gherkin are a definite plus.
•technical background of semiconductor industry processes, process integration, process control, semiconductor devices and manufacturing is a plus.

This position is available in the Embedded SW EUV department of ASML's business function Development & Engineering – Software.

This position requires access to U.S. controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations.
