Role and responsibilities
As a Data Engineer you will apply the latest technologies and tools to implement complex Big Data pipelines in a Cloud
You will be closely working with domain/technical experts and help them switch towards a data-driven way of working in the Cloud.
A key to your success will be the ability to understand the technical needs of experts from various domains and helping them to implement diagnostics solutions end to end in a Cloud-based environment.
You will be working in the ‘Self-Service Analytics’ program, which has the mission to offer ASML engineers all the tools they
need to implement their own analytics solution.
The team you will work in is the ‘customer facing’ team of SSA – this team is in the lead for onboarding of new users and rapid prototyping with end-users to show them how to apply the SSA platform and deployed tooling for their use case.
You will have daily interaction with multi-disciplinary customer teams including data scientists, physicists, computer scientists, and system architects to help them develop analytics on top of the SSA solution.
Education and experience
MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in building Cloud-based Big Data and feature extraction pipelines (ETL, both batch- and stream-data processing) in a relevant industrial context
- Knowledge of programming paradigms (e.g. declarative, imperative, dataflow, object-oriented, event-driven, functional)
- Hands-on experience with Python and Matlab
- Experience in developing in a Cloud environment (Azure or GCP)
Nice to have:
- Experience with dashboarding tools like Spotfire and Grafana
- Experience with deploying Machine Learning model
