Introduction to the job

You combine a strong analytical and conceptual mind with a pragmatic attitude. You are able to work independently in a dynamic and complex environment, taking the lead and inspiring your colleagues in going the extra mile. You possess a resilient personality, with both feet on the ground, qualifying you as an individual not easy to overlook. You see the big picture without missing the important details and you have experience with managing complex deliverables.

If you recognize yourself in the above, then we are looking for you! Join our enthusiastic and committed team in developing the vacuum solutions for our next generation of EUV scanners and bring ASML’s vacuum competence to the next level!

Role and responsibilities

As an integrator in the Vacuum Architecture group you are the linking pin between our development project and the factory and field support organization. You make sure that our factory and our customers receive fully qualified and working (hw or sw) solutions.

In case of problems, you and your team propose swift action plans to enable quick progress. Besides this, you support the development team with qualification of next generation optical column conditioning solutions and software deliveries in the ASML scanners.

In cooperation with the architect you define and execute test plans to validate new functionality. You make sure that the preparations are done in order to have a flawless execution of the test plan – this includes assuring that all boundary conditions are met for the test and alignment of the planning with the systems integration team. Where necessary, you pro-actively make arrangements to enable this.

Next to validation of new functionality, you keep track of the performance of our systems in the field. You are aware of issues in the field and participate in the root cause analysis and solutions, in cooperation with your colleagues from CS and the fab as well as the project team.

With your pro-active attitude you drive the integration work, enabling efficient, high-quality and flawless execution of the design & qualification process and the resolution of issues.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain integration plan in close co-operation with project lead; manage interdependencies with other projects
  • Organize hardware upgrades, design qualifications and tests
  • You create and review test specifications and summarize and communicate test plans
  • Collect integration issues and make sure there is follow up by project teams
  • Trouble-shoot prototypes, participate in tests/upgrades (hands-on)
  • On behalf of the project, maintain claims for test time needed on prototypes
  • Provide feedback on status of project issues.

Education and experience

Education

BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.

Experience

  • Several years experience in integrating and testing complex products in a fast-pace multi-disciplinary environment, preferably withinASML
  • (Hands-on) experience with vacuum applications and vacuum equipment
  • Experience in the field of vacuum and sub-atmospheric gas flow is preferred.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

  • Ability to organize work effectively and having a systematic approach in problem solving
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills
  • Pragmatic attitude, result orientated, robust personality
  • Excellent communication skills and good command of the English language.
