ASML is expanding its software presence in Taiwan, to develop applications and system-level software for its advanced and market-dominating e-beam inspection and metrology systems to supply the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing customers around the world including in Asia-pacific regions.We are looking for leadership positions throughout our organization, and in this case specifically in the area of high performance computation platform that maximizes the throughput and creates the mission-critical infrastructure to execute our innovative algorithms within our products in customers’ production environment.
Manager/Sr. Manager of high-performance computing team of 15~20+ people to develop, hire, and lead the high-performance computing team’s growth in capacity, competence, and excellence, and to drive towards concurrent collaboration, goals, and deliverables as an integrable part of the software engineering group within teams across Taiwan and U.S.
Role and responsibilities
Manage anddrive the team’s goals and deliverables aligned with product releases andtechnology roadmap with quality and do-the-right-thing mindset
Attract talentsand on-board high-caliber recruits to build up the resources required bydeliverables and growth targets
Developleadership and groom leaders in the team
Work and leadby example in a cross-functional team environment to resolve dependencies andaddress technical challenges
Foster teamdevelopment in both software as well as domain-specific knowledge and expertiseto position for growth and embrace challenges
Bring relevantexperiences, unique expertise, and technical excellence in softwaretechnology combined with high-performance computation hardware, and overall qualityto further enrich and strengthen our software community together with ourTaiwan DNE presence and manufacturing
Instill anduphold ASML’s high performance standard and productivity culture, andcontinue to challenge the teams to grow in accordance to ASML values
Education and experience
Ph.D. in computer science, electricalengineering, or related filed; M.S. with 3 years of relevant experiences;B.S. with 5 years of relevant experiences.
The qualified candidate must meet thefollowing qualifications to be considered for the position including:
Minimum 10years relevant experiences in the software industry, semiconductor relatedsoftware experiences preferred
Minimum 5 yearsof technical and/or people management
5 years ofin-depth experiences in C++ programming
Hands-onknowledge of industry known software and computing tools and computationserver system architecture, or products the candidate has had directlyinvolved in their development experiences
Must beexperienced with large-scale software development and release processes
Strongcommunication skills, and ability to influence others both inside and outsideof the team/organization
Intimateknowledge of distributed processing and parallel computing programming andchallenges (e.g., clusters or cloud computing) strongly preferred
Flowarchitecture and interface structure design experiences preferred and key tocareer development and advancement, and required for a Sr. Manager position.
Exposure tohardware production environment including server architecture is preferredfor a Sr. Manager position.

This position will report directly into the U.S. head of software engineering for HMI, and will have matrix structure (i.e., dotline) into other senior leadership within software engineering group to facilitate daily and more intimate technical collaborations
