Introduction to the job
Are you interested in a dynamic and international field of developing technical learning solutions? And do you want to join an organization that leads the entire semiconductor industry, using nanometer precision to create world-changing technology? Then this might be an exciting opportunity for you!
Role and responsibilities
The ASML Customer Support (CS) department is the crucial link between Development & Engineering (D&E) and customer needs. The CS department is responsible for the installation, qualification, repair and maintenance of the ASML systems at our customers’ sites. To provide excellent support to these customers, all CS engineers need to be trained on the latest technologies and software. The CS Global Training Center (GTC) develops and delivers technical learning solutions through 1000’s of training events yearly worldwide for the CS engineers with training facilities in Veldhoven, Taiwan, San Diego and Korea.
As a Technical Training Developer you will be responsible for developing high quality technical training. All our trainings will be developed and delivered based on the ADDIE phases: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. To summarize, you will:
·Analyze the learning need from the field engineers. To do so, you need to build a network in the field and collect all their learning needs.
·Design a learning solution. We make use of the latest and greatest learning methodologies, e.g. Virtual Reality and Software Simulations.
·Develop all needed training materials. This is including classroom presentations, exercises, real life cases, hands-on instructions, trainee workbook, trainer guide, etc. You will work with different disciplines and departments within the company to develop the training content for new products which will be released to the CS organization.
·As an Instructor you will deliver L3-training to second line Field-engineers. This is currently a 3 weeks training delivered in Veldhoven. This training contains hands-on training at our own training system in building 5, as well as classroom training.
Who are you?
·You have a Bachelor/Master degree within mechanical engineering or another engineering field;
·You have experience within a semi-conductor company or manufacturing environment;
·Technical knowledge is more important than learning and/or training knowledge (motivation why this position and within training is required, when you don’t have training experience).
Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:
- Affinity with developing and delivering training;
- Team player;
- Good communication skills.
